Hi, I’m Brendon, and I’d love to share a little bit about how we produce our strawberries here at Ashbern Farms.

Every strawberry starts its journey as a delicate white flower. Once pollinated by bees, the flower begins to grow and transform into a strawberry. This process takes just two to three weeks, during which the fruit fills out and ripens.

We carefully monitor each berry, looking for plump, full, red strawberries that are ripe from the shoulder to the tip. To ensure the best sweetness, we use a refractometer, a tool that measures sugar levels, so every berry is as sweet as possible when it reaches your punnet or the market.

Our strawberries are sold to major retailers like Woolworths, Coles, and Aldi, as well as agents in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

We also offer a Pick Your Own experience here on the farm. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore the strawberry fields, see how the fruit grows, and enjoy the thrill of finding the biggest strawberry!
